"So last night a website decided it would be fun to install a little shitty virus/trojan on my computer. So far this is the only thing like it that has actually caused a little problem for me on Vista. Incase you get the same thing, here is what to look out for and how to fix it.
It installed a program called Windows AntiVirus 2009. Within 2 minutes it was installed and started running a fake scan. All you could do was click "continue evaluation" or "purchse now". There was no way to close the program. It wouldn't let taskmanager start claiming it was infected and said the same for spybot. It also disabled right click on many things and WMP. Basically anyway to get to your system was off limits.
If you get it, press ctrl, alt and delete and access task manager from there. Kill the antivirus process. If you use spybot, access you BHO's and remove the BHO it installs. Under services, diable the antivirus service. Delete the prefetch files it creates in your system32 folder and it's all gone. However, it leaves you unable to right click on things. Now you can roll back to last known good config.
All sorted and all gone. Seems a long way round but proper antivirus progs can't find it and spyware progs don't find it.
I hereby proclaim these people who make this shit as retards who need to get a life and understand that they are the scum of society and the most hated type of people on the internet. Maybe a proper job or a girlfriend is what they need?!"
